Contracts Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Allied Technologies and Consulting, LLC (ATC) is recruiting for an experienced Contracts Specialist to support our corporate office to ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations, contract terms and conditions, internal quality standards. Will advise senior management on government contract requirements and procedures. This position will be expected to exercise independent judgment to assess current procedures and develop new policies and processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Contracts Specialist will perform the following duties:

  • Prepare and execute contractual documentation including but not limited to non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), modification requests, teaming agreements, and subcontract agreements.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on matters pertaining to policies, plans and objectives.
  • Settle disputes regarding contract interpretation, conditions, or compliance with legal requirements.
  • Assist is the preparation and participation of audits from outside agencies, such as the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and the General Services Administration (GSA).
  • Perform cost analysis and prepare budget forecasts to determine whether profitability targets are being met.
  • Assist with pricing-related tasks for new and existing efforts.
  • Develop strategies for negotiation in alignment with company objectives and lead negotiations for complex contracts.
  • Maintain awareness of new laws and proposed legislation and interpret the potential impact on current and future contracts.
  • Make sound business decision recommendations when analyzing, preparing, and executing government contracts and subcontracts.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (business, Government/federal contracting, finance, etc.) or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Excellent communications, writing, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience managing large contracts (total value of $25 million or greater) with multiple subcontractors.
  • Extensive understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, and Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Experience with program management and/or personnel management.
  • Ability to assist with business development efforts and external networking.
