Contracts Administrative Assistant – Immediate Need


Allied Technologies and Consulting (ATC) is currently looking for a Contracts Assistant to join our team to support the United States Army Medical Material Development Activity (USAMMDA) located at Ft Detrick, MD. USAMMDA is responsible for developing medical products such as drugs, vaccines, devices, and medical support equipment. USAMMDA preserves and protects the lives of warfighters by developing medical products to ensure readiness and the highest quality of medical care for DOD personnel. This position is based at Ft. Detrick in Frederick, Maryland.


Detail oriented, personable, multi-tasking Contracts Assistant to support the Government’s Sr. Acquisition Management Liaison Officer (AMLO) in the day-to-day functions of the AMLO office and support the following tasks:

· Assist in maintaining the command list of contracts and with the AMLO SharePoint site, to include recommending new process workflows, updating, and documenting existing process workflows and templates, and posting other AMLO related information.

· Assist with the development, review, and updating of the USAMMDA Contract Forecast as well as monitor the status of contract actions from document development through contract award.

· Assist in responding to taskers assigned to the AMLO Office by the designated suspense date.

· Assist in ensuring that command Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) have complete and updated documentation to allow for access to various government systems.

· Assist the Sr. AMLO and USAMMDA CORs in preparation for contract related inspections/audits, such as OIP and annual contracting officer COR file reviews, as well with the conduct of mock-inspections/audits and remediation efforts based on inspection/audit findings.

· Assist in development and review of contract documentation such as Performance Work Statements, Statements of Need, Minimum Essential Characteristics, Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans, Requests for Information, and Market Research Reports.

· Assist in market research of various government required sources such as the Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) and General Services Administration (GSA) websites.

· Have the ability to handle demanding situations with clarity, focus and professionalism, and to respond quickly to quick turnaround taskers.

· Participates in special projects as required.


· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.

· 2+ years of related business analysis experience.

· Have understanding of Government contracts terminology (e.g., awards, amendments/mods, etc.).

· Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and multi-task.

· Ability to successfully communicate with personnel at various echelons using effective interpersonal and communication skills in addition to managing numerous efforts and effectively prioritizing and multi-tasking requirements.

· Have excellent Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet skills to maintain contracts log/spreadsheet and other AMLO work products.

· Excellent capabilities in the other Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Word, and PowerPoint) as well as the Microsoft Outlook calendar.

· Must be U.S. citizen and be able to obtain a T1 public trust.

· Must be able to pass background and drug testing
